Is it better to run with or without a tracker?
Running through a tracker will result in:
A) Traffic loss
B) Conversion loss (observed on some trackers due to the way they handle postbacks from BB)
C) Lower ROI due to point A
So it’s better to run direct to the Direct Link. That’s the approach we’re covering here, since it’s what we use ourselves. That said, you can still use a tracker for more detailed stats analysis. (See the FAQ for postback setup instructions, or just reach out to support — they’ll help you set it up.)
Creating a Campaign in Adsterra
General:

1 – Select traffic type
Mainstream+Adult (or mainstream only or adult only — though traffic volume will be lower)
2 – Device Format
Due to how landing pages render on mobile, it’s better to run mobile only — conversions are consistently better there and your earnings will be higher.
Of course you can also create a desktop campaign if you prefer.
Countries:
You can specify a single country or multiple countries in one campaign by entering country codes from BadBoys (e.g. ru, kz, ua — or any others; check the top countries by price in this section: https://v2.badboys.network/?c=price)

The most convenient approach is to launch the top BB countries in a single Adsterra campaign — those with the highest rate per 1k installs. Then if a specific country underperforms, lower the CPM or turn it off. Also, if a placement delivers bad traffic, it will underperform across all countries — because the placement itself is just weak.
You can start with a fixed rate of $1.10 and watch conversions, turning off underperforming placements and adjusting based on per-country payouts. As for campaign budget — the more, the better. If your campaign budget is $10, it’s basically a coin flip. That amount might fill from a single placement and you won’t get any meaningful data. The bigger your budget, the clearer the picture. There’s no universal method — you need to look at each country’s performance and make decisions accordingly.
Targeting
OS+Version
Safely target Android 4.0 and above, then review stats and cut anything that’s clearly underperforming.

Browser+Version
Chrome only — it converts consistently well.

For browser version, you can choose what you prefer — but stick to recent versions, as older browsers generally convert poorly.

That’s it! For those who want to see more case studies, badboys.network has its own chat where they share tips and post case studies regularly.
