Case Study: Male Enhancement Nutra Campaign with Megapu.sh

Today we have a case study on running traffic from the ad network Megapu.sh.

  • Offer: Eroforce — male enhancement supplement.
  • Traffic source: Megapu.sh
  • GEO: Vietnam
  • Campaign period: 15 days (Oct 1 – Oct 15)
  • Spent: $1,685
  • Earned: $2,226
  • Profit: $541

Given the nature of the traffic, the offer choice was obvious to me — a male enhancement supplement. The country was chosen based on approval rate and traffic volume.

For rates and other parameters, I went with the Leadbit affiliate program. The payout at the time of running was $14. A cloaked pre-lander was used, which passed moderation without any issues.

Creatives

The creatives used regular stock images from Google, resized in Paint to the required dimensions.

The ad copy focused on 3 key angles:

1) Does it work or not.

2) Duration of sexual performance.

3) Ability to satisfy a partner.

Translation quality was a key factor — all text was translated by professional translators.

MegaPush Campaign Details + Stats

Ads ran on mobile devices only, at $0.006 to $0.015 per click. Interestingly, campaigns running at lower bids were more profitable (though they naturally captured less traffic). No other targeting was used. Almost all ads had all feeds enabled.

During the first week, several tests were run, after which the best creatives and the cloaked pre-lander were selected.

The approval rate was impressive (44%). However, the overall conversion rate left something to be desired at just 0.36. Trash traffic was at an acceptable level.

In total, 364 valid leads came in, of which 159 were approved for $2,226.

After accounting for the $1,685 in spend, the net profit was $541. ROI: 32%.

The offer and traffic are a working combination. Testing more unique creatives would likely uncover angles that convert at a higher ROI and generate even more conversions.

In my case, the conversion rate was gradually declining over the final days (creatives were burning out and I had no motivation to upload new ones). So I stopped the traffic.

Come up with your own creatives and this case is fully replicable.
