Gambling Push Traffic Marathon — Part 6

Today we’re wrapping up the marathon — we’ll explain why we decided to pause it early, and show you the final campaign setup from this run.

New Creatives and Campaign Setup:

As promised in the previous installment, we decided to test some new approaches. This time around, we came up with the idea of testing creatives and a landing page aimed at an adult audience. Welcome Partners has a great selection of landing pages, and they had one that fit our angle perfectly:

Gambling Push Traffic Marathon — Part 6

We put together this creative and launched it in PushAds.biz:

Right after launching this creative, we could see it wasn’t working either. So we decided to pause the marathon. I think the main reason this marathon didn’t pan out was that we ran everything in real time — we didn’t test everything before kicking off, the marathon dragged on due to time constraints, and that gave everyone else time to jump in. Many people saw our marathon and started running their own gambling campaigns, which overheated the audience. Can you still run gambling with push traffic? Absolutely! The key is finding the right angles and creatives.

That said, we’re not done working with Welcome Partners and PushAds.biz — we’ll keep searching for new approaches, and soon we’ll try running gambling from other traffic sources (Welcome Partners gives its webmasters free apps — how could we not test that). And we’ll be taking a more in-depth look at PushAds.biz with other verticals soon. Stay tuned for new case studies!
