Case Study: Dating with ClickAdilla Push Notifications
Today the team at ClickAdilla shared a case study from one of their advertisers running a dating offer with push notifications. We decided to publish it because while the profit isn’t massive, it’s a great example of how a beginner with a small budget can run a profitable campaign. Everything is explained in detail, so there’s a lot of useful takeaways here.

Hi, I’m Nick, and this is my first affiliate marketing case study. I didn’t have a big ad budget, but I had a plan to grow it. And it worked!
I decided to try a dating + Tier 3 country combination. Dating is a vertical that never goes out of style, and traffic in Tier 3 countries costs almost nothing.
I chose the Hypercentage affiliate network. As far as I know, they’re a direct advertiser specializing in dating with a solid roster of offers for the GEOs I needed. My personal manager suggested the following GEOs and mobile carriers:
- Algeria – Djezzy
- Syria – Syriatel
- Lebanon – Alfa
Next, I needed a traffic source. ClickAdilla caught my attention. I checked the traffic volume — more than enough. Prices were also reasonable: minimum CPM and CPC of just $0.003. On top of that, I received a nice ad bonus.
Creatives:
The affiliate manager provided banners and a list of phrases in Arabic. They also recommended testing the following offers:
- Adult Stars – Universal – RevShare
- Adult Stars – Universal – CPA

I used a standard landing page:

Initial Tests:
The first two creatives showed a solid CTR of 0.26, but conversions were disappointing at 0.76. After that, I launched campaigns targeting Tunisia, Egypt, and Morocco with similar creatives — mobile-only targeting. Here’s what happened:
Stats by country:

Stats by offer:

I was surprised to see clicks from countries I hadn’t targeted. I reached out to ClickAdilla support, and they explained that these are clicks from moderators and advertiser traffic verification tools. Of course, you only pay for clicks from your targeted GEOs.
Back to the analysis: I got zero conversions from Morocco. Tunisia and Egypt campaigns performed poorly. The RevShare campaign made less money than the CPA campaign.
I ended up losing $13.74 and realized I needed to focus on Algeria with the CPA model.
Total spent: $24
Total earned: $10.26
Profit: -$13.74
Results:
I launched the Adult Stars – Algeria – CPA offer. The key difference from Adult Stars – Universal – CPA is the payout: $0.40 per conversion versus $0.27. That’s a significant difference, right?
I created new creatives and rotated them roughly once a week. These two generated the highest CTR from impression to click and from click to conversion:

Tests were also run in Arabic. For translations I used Google Translate and the ready-made phrase list provided by the manager.
Here are my results over 4 weeks:

To improve my conversion rate, I disabled ad delivery during morning hours and selected only premium inventory.

On some days CTR hit 1.8%, and on others it dropped to 0.6%. On average it stayed around 0.12%. Click-to-conversion rate: 1.19%. Total conversions: 1,295.
I’m happy with how this turned out! I grew my budget, earned a $100 bonus, and gained valuable experience. Here are my key takeaways:
- You can be profitable even with sub-$1 payouts.
- Spend more time choosing the right offer.
- Use multiple creatives.
- Rotate your creatives regularly.
I hope this case study inspires beginners and helps with testing dating offers. I’ll keep searching for new angles. And if the ad network’s subscriber base keeps growing, this same setup can be replicated again later.
