Interview with a Clickadu Representative
Today we have an interview with a representative from the ad network Clickadu. It turned out to be a really interesting and useful conversation where we talked all about Clickadu — and a few genuinely valuable tips were shared. Plus, everyone who reads this interview gets access to a bonus, which you’ll find below. Enjoy the read!
Hey, thanks for giving us the opportunity to interview you! Give us a quick intro to Clickadu — some of our audience might not know you yet.
Hey,
And thanks to you for the opportunity.
Clickadu has been in the advertising market since 2014 — we launched as a Popunder network back then. All we had was one format and a lot of enthusiasm, which we eventually turned into something much bigger.
Today, we position ourselves as a multi-format ad network in the entertainment traffic space, and we’ve set a goal of providing maximum ad coverage and traffic monetization within a single source.
By the way, Popunder is still considered one of the best formats we offer. That said, market demand isn’t limited to just one format, so we now have 6 of them — each with its own unique features.
In terms of market reach, we work with publishers and advertisers worldwide — if a country has internet, we’ve got traffic there.
What’s the total click volume in the network? Is all of it your own traffic?
Since not all of our formats are display-based, we typically measure volume in impressions. According to our latest data, we deliver 2.3 billion impressions per day — and we genuinely provide our own traffic. 95% comes from our publishers. We only supplement with external traffic if the advertiser specifically requests it.

Which format is performing best right now? Is there an underrated format with quality traffic but cheap prices?
Every format, when matched correctly with the right vertical, offer, pricing model, and creative can deliver amazing results. But I’m happy to highlight a couple that advertisers often overlook.
Instant Text Message — very few advertisers try this format because it’s not available in almost any other network, but it’s the best way to reach mobile users. The native feel of the format gets genuinely strong engagement.

Video Pre-Roll — it’s generally considered a reach format, and it does require skill to use well. But we have plenty of case studies from advertisers who, in the right hands, turn pre-rolls into genuine lead generation machines. The key is delivering your message effectively without stuffing it with call-to-action elements.

Is campaign performance balance-dependent? What starting budget would you recommend for testing?
That really depends on the offer and vertical you’re planning to run. You can start with a minimal budget if the offer has a simple flow and a low conversion cost. For more complex verticals with high cost-per-conversion, it’s worth testing on larger budgets.
And of course — a bigger budget lets you run longer, more informative tests.
You have quite a few pricing models — CPM, CPC, SmartCPA, SmartCPM. Can you walk us through each one, and which do you think is the most beneficial for media buyers?
Again, it all comes down to how well you handle the available pricing model — setting the right bids, cost per conversion or test budget, and using targeting options wisely.

CPM — simple and straightforward, paying per 1,000 impressions. No extra layers.
SmartCPM — personally, I like this better than CPM, especially for long-running campaigns. You set the maximum price you’re willing to pay per 1,000 impressions, and within the market demand, the price self-optimizes and never exceeds your cap. Some advertisers pause buying on weekends, so there’s often a chance to buy cheaper during those windows.
CPC — great for advertisers who are skilled with creative formats and understand user intent and triggers. The campaign starts with a CPM test to find the zones with the best CTR, then rotates into those zones. You set the cost per click and a test budget, which the system uses to find the right zones.
SmartCPA — ideal for those comfortable with trackers and works best for offers with simple flows like APK installs or SOI. Similar to CPC, but the system selects sources with the highest CR.
You recently introduced VAT — what’s that about? Does it apply to users from all countries, or are there certain countries where VAT won’t be charged?
Since Clickadu is a Czech Republic-registered company, we simply had no choice but to register for VAT. For EU residents who pay taxes in their country, this is actually good news — they won’t be charged the usual 21% VAT at the end of the reporting period.
For all other markets and countries, nothing changes — except for the reassurance that we’re very much in this for the long haul.
Which GEOs would you recommend starting with? And what are your top 5 GEOs by traffic volume?
That’s a bit of an odd question, since advertisers who come to our platform already know which countries they want to target. It depends on their understanding of each market, their creatives, or specific offer requirements.
Our top GEOs are India, Brazil, Vietnam, Malaysia, and the USA. Overall, with 2.3 billion impressions, there’s demand for every market.
And what should you send traffic to? Which verticals and offers?
- Dating
- Webcam
- iGaming (Gambling / Betting)
- Sweepstakes
- WAP clicks & PIN submits
- VPN
- Social apps (mainstream dating)
- Tools & Utilities
Are there any new formats or features coming soon? Maybe you can make an exclusive announcement?
Long-term, we have display banners in the pipeline — closed testing of various formats is underway, but it’ll take some time before we have something ready to offer.
In the near term, we’ve launched a new version of device fingerprinting that accounts for each device’s unique “fingerprint” and lets you get traffic with the highest possible uniqueness. This feature will be rolling out to the SSP soon, and we’ll definitely post about it.
Also — don’t miss our SSP Platform Updates section (now available in 6 languages), where we cover everything from UI improvements to deeper system changes. There’s always something to improve.
We always ask for a bonus in our interviews. This one is no exception — can you offer something special for our readers?
Why not? Exclusively for MadCPA readers, we’re offering the code FORMADS, which gives $20 on your first deposit, or 10% on top if your deposit exceeds $300. The code is valid until October 2nd — don’t miss it.
Thanks! And to wrap up, share a top tip for working with Clickadu. What would you recommend to a Clickadu advertiser?
Besides coming to us? 🙂
Our platform is called a Self-Serve Platform — but our team is always ready to share advice and expertise. Always reach out — we’ll never turn you away.
