Case Study: $30,000 from MegaPush
It’s been a while since we posted anything — especially a case study. Today the team at Megapu.sh shared an impressive case study with us — big volume, big profit. It’s all about adult dating, one of those verticals that will never die. For many affiliates, it’s also the first vertical they ever worked with.
1. The Affiliate Program.
There are plenty of affiliate programs out there that want your adult traffic. Some offer individual offers, some offer smartlinks. I went with a smartlink from LosPollos.
2. Traffic.
There are probably even more places to get adult traffic than there are affiliate programs. But since everyone was talking about Megapu.sh, I went with them. Why push? It’s not exactly adult content… You just have to know how to cook it.
So, to avoid moderation issues, we use pre-landers with age verification — these have been mentioned in the chat many times.

Option #2 had a click-through rate of 80% vs. Option #1’s 50%. If you run traffic at scale for a long time, click-through rates will drop — so just swap in a new girl for the background image and keep going.
Traffic source set up. Offer link ready. Now which GEOs?
We started with the top-performing GEOs in the network. In LosPollos those were Norway, Denmark, Sweden, and a few other Tier 1 countries.
As it turned out, traffic volumes for those countries weren’t that high — but the conversion rates were excellent. After some conversations with experienced affiliates, a few scaling strategies emerged:
1. Run 30 campaigns per GEO with different girls and different headlines. Try to keep at least $500 on your balance, since the network is balance-dependent.
2. Target other GEOs. Or more precisely — all of them! Why all of them?
In many GEOs there’s simply no competition within MegaPush, so traffic is plentiful and very cheap. It would be a shame not to test conversion rates there.
So push notifications inviting users to spend a pleasant evening with a charming girl were flying around the world for 20 days.
Here’s what came of it:

Not all GEOs were profitable, but the overall picture was very satisfying.
In total, those eager romantics generated around $30,000
MegaPush delivered push notifications worth roughly $16,000
This simple formula resulted in $14,000 net profit.
There was plenty of work involved — campaign management took time, and new pre-landers had to be tested periodically — but it was absolutely worth it.
Why don’t push notification case studies ever show the actual creatives that were used?
