Interview with a PDL-Profit Representative

Today we are publishing an interview with Darina from PDL-Profit. If you work with or are planning to work with PDL offers, we highly recommend reading this. It turned out to be a short but very interesting and informative interview.

Interview with a PDL-Profit Representative

Hi! Tell us about yourself and PDL-Profit. Some readers may not be familiar with you yet…
Hey everyone, affiliates and readers alike!
My name is Darina and I have been helping build and grow the pdl-profit.com service for over a year now. I sincerely believe that fate itself led me into affiliate marketing and specifically into our network. Just a year ago, scrolling through Instagram, I had no idea that the ads I was seeing were the result of a creative team and a media buyer’s work, or that traffic flows through a link and passes through a CPA network.
When I joined pdl-profit, I learned about the industry and niche from scratch. Now I know the ins and outs of an affiliate manager’s role and work with major partners both offline and online.
I am very proud of the service we are building. PDL-profit is about care, personal attention to partners, flexibility, and cutting-edge technology.

We provide a full range of services for webmasters, and sometimes that even means urgently setting up an offer in Sri Lanka, or processing a payout to an external wallet in an unconventional way.
That is exactly why our partners love us, and the interesting challenges make the work truly enjoyable.

What GEOs do you currently specialize in? I know that in the past it was only Ukraine — how is it now? Has the situation changed? And which GEO would you recommend paying attention to? Which country, in your opinion, is very promising and undervalued in the finance vertical right now?
Our key GEO is Ukraine. Over two years of the network’s operation, we have confidently established our place in the market and continue to grow steadily. I’ll boldly say that if you want the best conditions on the UA market, you can come straight to us.
But it’s not just Ukraine — we are looking toward other GEOs! In spring 2021 we ran a campaign for webmasters called “Kazakh Spring.” This helped us pave the way into Kazakhstan. I recommend webmasters take a close look at this GEO. Yes, the market is small, but competition there is noticeably lower. And advertisers are generous with their rates. A big plus is that creatives, storefronts, and apps can be made in English.
Russia as a GEO is the most interesting part of the microfinance market. A country with a population of 145 million and a mid-range standard of living is a paradise for developing microfinance companies. In this GEO there is room for every affiliate, whether it’s search ads, apps, or a loan-matching bot on Telegram.
Few people know it, but microcredits also exist in the USA. This GEO is ideal for those who know how to drive organic traffic. Offers in the US are generally all similar and work on a pingTree model. Essentially they are landing pages where an intermediary company collects the data and sends it through the pingTree to credit brokers. Leads participate in an auction. The lead price depends directly on credit history, the number of fields filled in, and many other factors. We’ve seen leads come in at as little as $0.50 and as high as $100.

Regarding Ukraine — how do you see the prospects for this GEO going forward? Aren’t you concerned that the market could become more regulated and the country will no longer be as interesting and profitable?
The MFO CPA market in Ukraine will live on for a long time, judging by the local mindset and the economic situation in the country. Advertisers benefit from working on the CPA model — this channel brings in thousands of clients daily. Regulation will only help make it more civilized and secure. If we look at the US market as an example, known for its regulation at the legislative level, we can see that leads are bought and sold successfully 😉
So no, we are not worried and see no threats to successful traffic flow in the UA market in the near future.

You have a wide variety of tools for your partners. Tell us about each one.

  1. The “Conversions” tab is the newest tool in our CPA platform. In this tab, a webmaster can see the click history of borrowers — who clicked on offers, where, and when. This tab shows the full history of a click’s journey through the PDL-Profit system. Based on this information, it is easy to draw conclusions about traffic quality and targeting of the desired audience. And if you pull the data via API, you can effectively re-engage users. And we’re giving all of this away for free to the public 😉
  2. Offer API. All offer information can be received in real time on your own custom storefront.
  3. Postback log, which allows you to pass the necessary parameters to your tracker.
  4. Telegram bot — my personal favorite and most convenient tool, where a webmaster can quickly check statistics and receive notifications about payment status or conversions.
  5. Convenient statistics. A wide variety of filters and the ability to save your own filter presets allow a beginner affiliate to go without a tracker for quite some time.
  6. Smartlink and Trafficback — both tools help avoid traffic loss under any circumstances.
Smartlink routes the user to an offer based on their GEO and selects the best offer based on performance metrics.
Trafficback redirects traffic if an offer is disabled. Smartlink and Trafficback work great together.
  7. And we’ve saved the best for last — the storefront builder, where you can create a custom storefront for 3 GEOs — Ukraine, Russia, and Kazakhstan — and choose the design of the footer, header, and layout. You can also upload it to your own hosting if you wish.
A must-have for beginner affiliates in the finance niche.
Here are a few examples of storefronts from our builder:

Having a storefront builder right inside the dashboard is very convenient. But how does it work? Do storefronts created through it actually convert? Or is it still better to design and build your own storefront from scratch so it looks fresh and unique to users?

Below are statistics from one of the summer months across several of our partners’ storefronts. vCR is the ratio between users who arrived at the storefront and those who left it by clicking an offer button. So yes, we can confidently say that our storefronts convert.

The storefront builder is genuinely very convenient and functional. It simplifies test campaigns in the niche. There is no need to build your own site from scratch, especially when a webmaster doesn’t have much experience yet.
Our builder allows you to create a personalized design, and if a partner wants to make adjustments or use their own solutions entirely, we provide the option to download the static HTML of the built storefront directly from the builder, or to use the offer API to build your own custom storefront with your own code and visual style.
The variety of designs is exactly what allows a storefront to look more unique and fresh to the average microfinance user. In just a couple of clicks you can get a fully functional affiliate site to attract clients across 3 GEOs — Ukraine, Russia, and Kazakhstan.

Should you always collect push notifications, phone numbers, and emails on storefronts? Does it actually increase revenue?
Collecting phone numbers is genuinely worthwhile, but only if you have the resources for SMS follow-ups. A microfinance client needs to be nurtured properly, because what matters most is that immediate desire to take out a loan.
For example, send an SMS right after the form is submitted, then again after 30 minutes, after 2 hours, and so on.
If you don’t have the resources to follow up, a contact collection form will only distract “hot” clients from the target action.

As far as I know, almost no one sends traffic directly to an offer in finance — everyone uses storefronts or builds chatbots. Is that right? What other traffic methods are available?
The top traffic source in our network is Android apps with a built-in storefront. This source has a strong retention rate (the percentage of users who return to the app). We actually provide the app code for further development and submission to Google Play.
Sending traffic directly to an offer only makes sense from SMS campaigns. With all other traffic sources, conversion rates improve significantly through the use of storefronts. Storefronts can be used across a wide variety of sources:
– For traffic via Facebook.
– Facebook Ads targeting.
– For SMS and Viber campaigns.
– In Google Ads search and display advertising.
The average microfinance user takes around 7 loans per year and is always looking for new logos on the storefront.

Thank you so much for your answers, it was a really great conversation!)
