Interview with a Mostbet Partners Representative

We sat down for an interview with a representative from Mostbet Partners. We talked about gambling and betting — Dima shared his insights on traffic sources, GEOs, apps, and much more. Definitely worth a read; it turned out really interesting, and most importantly, genuinely useful!

Hey, thanks for agreeing to answer our questions. Let’s get into it! Tell us a bit about the project you represent.

Hey! My name is Dima Turkov — I’m the Affiliate Director at Mostbet Partners. Mostbet Partners is the official affiliate program of the bookmaker and online casino Mostbet. Since we’re a direct advertiser, we offer our partners the most comfortable working conditions possible. Knowing the product inside and out, we can confidently speak to its strengths and how to best work with it.

We’re currently putting a strong focus on the casino side. The esports vertical is also recovering, given the current situation in the country.

What GEOs does Mostbet accept traffic from? Are there plans to add new countries?

Russia, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, India, Spain, Brazil, and the rest of the CIS. The Mostbet platform is fully localized in these countries, including local sports events, payment systems, regional promotions, full player support, and so on. We’re planning to expand into Europe — more on that later.

What payment models do you use? I’ve seen you have CPA — what are the terms? What does it take to work on that model?

So, the payment models are: CPA (verified FTD) and RevShare (a fixed percentage of sportsbook and casino revenue).

The rate is set based on traffic type and volume. Three to four days of traffic is enough for us to evaluate. The test cap is set individually for each affiliate to give everyone the best personalized terms.

Is Facebook with apps the top traffic source for Mostbet? Do you provide mobile apps to your partners?

Yes, that’s right. In terms of media buying overall — Facebook is currently the main traffic source across all verticals. Casino traffic performs really well through it.

Regarding apps — yes, we provide them. Just reach out to your manager to get access. Also, if you have your own iOS/Android apps, we can provide working push notifications to keep players engaged.

What’s the average conversion rate from install to registration, and from registration to deposit? What are the average network-wide numbers so we can estimate how many installs we’d need to get a deposit?

Conversion rates vary by traffic source, of course. With apps, the install-to-reg rate on iOS is 1:6, and reg-to-deposit is 1:5. On Android, the reg-to-deposit rate is around 1:15–20. With ad network traffic, you might see something like click-to-reg at 1:30 and reg-to-deposit at 1:15. These are averages — it all depends on traffic quality and the offer you’re showing users in your creatives.

Android or iOS? Which performs better?

It’s very individual — a lot of factors come into play. If we’re talking traffic quality and app longevity, iOS wins hands down. But you can’t hit big volumes on iOS — that’s where Android saves you. Android moderation is also more lenient. That said, you can do massive volumes on iOS too — it just takes skill.

What other sources are performing well? Push? Google?

Push traffic isn’t performing great right now, honestly. But using it as a retargeting tool to push a lead toward install after the first touchpoint — you can still squeeze some profit out of it. Google — yes, but it’s a thousand times smarter than Facebook. I’d also mention teaser networks.

What GEOs would you recommend starting with? I’d imagine jumping straight into a saturated market isn’t ideal. What GEOs do you have with good terms but cheap traffic?

We’ve got a pretty wide range of GEOs right now, but if you want a safe bet — Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan are solid choices. And honestly, even in more competitive markets, the right approach can still turn a profit.

What creatives work best for those countries? The “Win $10,000,000” angle, or just slot gameplay? What performs better?

Emotions work best — slots, people’s reactions to winning, coin sounds, money being shown. The key is bringing all these elements together into one cohesive concept. But pay attention to the details: for example, hands with money giving and taking bills are two completely different messages. If you accidentally reverse the footage, it’ll look like you’re telling people to hand over their money instead of showing them how they’ll receive it. There’s a huge number of little details like that. It all comes down to experience and testing.

What source would you recommend for a beginner?

Probably teaser networks. Facebook works too, but you need to absorb a lot of information upfront — from account farming to cloaking. For beginners interested in the tipping/cappers niche, I’d recommend creating a Telegram channel with sports predictions and selling picks.

There are two revenue streams here: selling predictions and earning RevShare from player losses.

It’s better to work on RevShare, and you do need some starting budget — going in without money doesn’t make sense. For a very basic channel, you’d need roughly $1,500 all in.

A big plus would be an Instagram account with top lifestyle photos — though that’s not a cheap investment. To start, I’d recommend building up followers on both Instagram and Telegram, then driving Facebook traffic to Instagram and from Instagram to Telegram. That’s roughly how to get started.

Let’s talk about the COVID situation. Did the sports betting market take a big hit? Are you seeing recovery yet, or is it still a while away?

It definitely had an impact. Many people were calling the death of betting back in April. But at the same time, we can see that people’s desire to place bets hasn’t gone away. Right now, they’re filling that void with esports, for instance. It still feels like a substitute to some — how can a Dota 2 tournament compare to the Premier League, right? But in practice, people are gradually coming around to it.

And Mostbet Casino hasn’t gone anywhere. During the absence of live sports, it gained a lot of popularity and demand, and Mostbet Partners gave affiliates all the tools they needed to work with that vertical: creatives, landing pages, apps.

Right now, is it better to push betting or gambling? Which vertical drives more traffic for Mostbet?

Good question. Originally, Mostbet was purely about betting. But casino traffic has surged significantly since then. My advice: focus on whatever converts best for you personally.

What’s your forecast for the gambling/betting market going forward? Will Facebook remain the top traffic source, or could new sources emerge that rival it in volume and quality?

Hard to make predictions. We were forecasting a lot of things in February, and then the “Black Swan” event — COVID — happened. My feeling is that Facebook will keep tightening the screws — there’s a huge amount of scam content people are trying to push through it, and that will affect how the algorithm’s moderation AI learns. As for what’s next, I think Google has some solid potential.

Thanks for the great answers — wishing you continued success!
