Interview with the Director of MegaPush Ad Network

Today we have our second interview, this time with the director of the ad network MegaPush. Should be a great one β€” let’s dive in…

Hi there. I know you’re the director of the ad network Mega-Push, but many of our readers don’t know you yet β€” tell us a bit about yourself.
Hey, my name is Armen, and I’m currently the project director. The project was built with my direct involvement from the very beginning.
What can I say about myself? This field is one of the most interesting and exciting ones out there. It’s a real pleasure to work on projects like this β€” pitching ideas, watching them grow, engaging with our advertisers, hearing their requests, and quite often making those requests a reality.

Now tell us about Mega-Push β€” I think a lot of people still aren’t familiar with it.
MegaPush is a great service for reaching users directly, without any intermediary platforms like websites in between.
A push notification is delivered straight to the user’s device β€” whether that’s a PC or a smartphone.

How did the idea for Mega-Push come about? And when was it created?
The project was created back in 2017, went through a fairly lengthy private testing phase, and after that was naturally launched to the world.
How did the idea come about? Very simply β€” if there’s a chance to boost advertising effectiveness and give advertisers a way to work directly with users, why not? That’s how the idea was born. This platform is all about convenience and simplicity when it comes to reaching users.

What’s the traffic volume like at Mega-Push? Which audience is the largest?
We have mostly mobile traffic β€” around 70% β€” and desktop at 30%. The audiences are very diverse, with the majority being middle-aged men.

Which offers perform best with Mega-Push? E-commerce, gambling, finance, or maybe WAP subscriptions? What are Mega-Push publishers running the most?
E-commerce is the top priority, across all categories. It’s very convenient to prompt a user to buy something when it pops up on their phone or computer. E-commerce is by far the most common, followed by gambling and finance.

People say MegaPush has a very lenient moderation policy that will pass almost anything β€” is that true?
Not exactly. If a campaign follows the network’s rules, then there are no issues with the advertiser. But the rules do need to be respected.

Does push notification advertising have a future? Do you think it will still be around in 5 years?
Most likely yes β€” maybe in a slightly different format and used for different purposes, but it’ll definitely stick around.

Can you offer a bonus for our readers?
For everyone reading this interview β€” after finishing, reach out to @mega_push with a link to this article, and you’ll be able to get a test balance to try out the platform. All you need to do is register on the site and message the support team.

And finally, share some insider tip about working with your service β€” something most people don’t know but that’s really useful.
Sure, though it’s more of a practical tip than a hack. If you want to buy a lot of traffic and your offer has no device restrictions β€” meaning all devices are allowed β€” create a single campaign and set the device parameter to ALL. That way you’ll get better delivery than if you create separate campaigns for each device type. And one more thing: if you want a lot of clicks, create multiple campaigns and keep an eye on them.

Thanks for the interview β€” it turned out really great. Wishing you and Mega-Push all the best!
Thanks, same to you. And yes, the interview really did turn out great πŸ™‚
